Deemed by Alternative Press Magazine as a ‘Band To Watch' in 2010, the publication continues to show belief in Deas Vail as they premiere the new music video for the song "Summer Forgets Me" today at www.altpress.com/aptv/video/premiere_deas_vail_summer_forgets_me/

"Summer Forgets Me" is from the band’s upcoming September 6 self-titled album release from Mono vs Stereo, produced by Relient K guitarist and Mono Vs Stereo A&R Matthew Hoopes. Over the course of twelve songs, love takes the shape of a fiery dragon, a closed doorway, a distant tower and an unpredictable ghost. This is the follow up to the band’s 2009 release Birds & Cages.

There is indeed a positive uplift in the sweeping contours of the opening tracks, as ‘Desire’, ‘Sixteen’ and ‘Summer Forgets Me’ provide a powerful and emotional kick start to the record. As Blaylock pushes his sky-scraper of a voice up, over and around jangling guitars and head-bobbing grooves, he articulates beautifully poetic and eloquent metaphors.

Deas Vail is: Wes Blaylock - Vocals, Keys, Laura Blaylock - Keys, Synth, Wes Saunders - Drums, Andy Moore- Guitar and Justin Froning – Bass.

When Deas Vail formed in 2003, Blaylock says the goal was to back his own acoustic singer-songwriter project, with no bigger picture in mind than friends having fun. “We didn’t think we’d be doing it professionally years later,” he says. But three albums, two EPs and a few member changes later, the band has matured into a formidably tight unit.

The band recently join forces with label-mates Farewell Flight to release a 4 track split EP available digitally now, the EP features lead singles from Farewell Flight and Deas Vail as well as exclusive b-sides from each.

Mono vs. Stereo is a partnership between Gotee Records and Relient K.
